“what about your life?
[/sup][/center] FAMILY FATHER – James Keane (Deseased)
SIBLINGS –
OTHER NOTABLE RELATIVES – Harold Keane (Uncle), Michel Keane (Cousin)
[/ul]BIOGRAPHY -- Erik was born in a small town near Wales, England, in 1976. His father was a struggling genetic scientist, while his mother died during childbirth. The bond between James and Erik Keane was never a strong one, for his father was often consumed by his work. Erik discovered his power in 1989, and it has been slowly developing, though he rarely used it in his early life.
In 1992, James made a breakthrough in his research, and was contacted by a scientific agency that wanted him to move to New York to continue his studies. What little relationship that Erik had possessed with his father was broken when they moved to the United States, forcing Erik to leave the world that he had known all of his life behind.
Only two years after they had moved to the United States, James Keane was killed in a car accident, leaving his son with the riches that he had accumulated through his research articles, papers, and government grants. It was his father's wish that Erik continued his work. He didn't.
Instead, Erik went back to Europe, travelling country to country, enjoying the newfound freedom in his life. During this time, The Company picked up on his activities, and began to track him, though due to his constant movement, it was hard for them to pinpoint his exact location. However, in 2000, Erik was involved in a near fatal motorcycle accident in London, and slipped into a coma.
The Company finally found him, took him into their custody, and used an advanced telepath named Adrian Stark to bring him out of his coma. Their main goal was to recruit his services so that he would no longer be a danger to either the outside world, or The Company itself. To add to these precautions, Stark was used to suppress the stronger elements of Erik's power (such as time travel). The Company assigned one of their best agents, Richard Davis, to ensure cooperation from Erik.
When Erik awoke from his three month coma with the help of Adrian Stark, Richard Davis told him that the purpose of the organization was to capture dangerous individuals to maintain the safety of the public. By twisting and hiding the true nature of the organization, Richard Davis gained influence over Erik, and eventually, he agreed to join the ranks of the Company. He started his training in 2001, and when his field work began in 2002, Richard Davis was recruited as his partner.
Together, Erick Keane, and Richard Davis were able “Bag and Tag” 27 specials From 2002-2008. They were responsible for the deaths of 4 gifted individuals that were classified as "Exceptionally Dangerous".
Exceptionally Dangerous (Presumed Dead)
- 2024- Jacob Griffin (Biokinesis)
- 2025- Anthony Pritchard (Chronokinesis)
- 2027- Vanessa Harvey (Telekinesis)
- 2008- Adrian Stark (Advanced Telepathy)
In 2008, Adrian Stark rebelled against The Company, and Erik Keane and Richard Davis were sent after him. It took them seven months to track him, due to the fact that Stark had discovered that he possessed the ability of memory manipulation.
Finally, in September of 2008, Erik and Richard came face to face with Stark. Just as it seemed that they had him, Stark used his power to turn off the part of Erik’s brain that accesses his power, and then took possession of Richard Davis’s mind, forcing him to commit suicide. Adrian Stark “sensed” that Erik was not aware of the more terrible aspects of the company’s activities, and so spared his life. Before granting Erik his power back, however, Stark implanted all of his memories of the company into Erik’s mind, showing Erik the true nature of the company that he had been serving for so long. By turning the section of the brain that controlled his abilities back on, Stark unknowingly “re-booted” Erik’s abilities, finally giving him full access to them.
Re-enforcements appeared on the scene before either Stark or Erik could leave. Four company agents ambushed and killed Adrian Stark, while Erik, finally realizing the treachery of the Company teleported far from New York. The Company realized that Stark must have compromised their motives to Erik, and began to hunt for the Chronokinetic. Any company agents are ordered to kill him on sight, So Erik has altered his appearance the best that he could, and tries to lie low. He seeks an ally to help him bring down the Company that he served for over ten years, and is waiting for a chance to strike.

The Devoux Building Roof
The Devoux Building Roof
“You don’t have anywhere to run, Stark.”
Black clouds enveloped the crescent moon high above, diming what little light it gave off to begin with. The night air chilled Erik to the bone, despite the fact that they had been chasing after Adrian for over an hour. The company issue pistol that he held in his hands was shaking badly compared to his partner’s steady arm. The man that stood before them was Adrian Stark, the man that had betrayed the Company, and would now pay the price. Erik shuddered, and gripped his gun tighter.
“Give up now, and I’ll make this as painless as possible.” As Richard spoke again, Erik could see a faint outline of his breath silhouetted against the dark background of the starless night sky.
Adrian Stark did not turn to face Erik and Richard, but instead continued to stare out at the city streets 30 stories below. Erik thought that he could hear Stark choking, but realized that he was laughing. The chuckle grew to an enormous roar of genuine merriment. But it was not the merry laugh of a man who has just heard a joke. It was the laugh of a man who had just finished washing his family’s blood from his hands, and was in the process of shoving the pistol into his own mouth.
Come crying, go laughing.
The expression came to Erik’s head like some type of foreign object. It was not his thought, yet it was in his head. The idea of it made Erik feel vulnerable, dirty, and frightened all in a matter of seconds. It was the fact that it had been there when it didn’t belong there rather than the meaning of the thought itself that sent chills down his spine.
Richard however, seemed undeterred by this outburst of sick laughter, and instead thingyed his pistol.
“It’s over, Stark.”
Now Stark turned around, and Erik saw his face for the first time. It was the face of a man who has seen too much. His features were gaunt and pale, his cheekbones protruding from the scraggly beard that seemed to cover his face. His eyes were far back into their sockets, and his brow loomed over them, casting a shadow that no light could ever pierce. His mouth was twisted into a grotesque smile that could have very well been a sneer. His eyes were cold and dead, making it seem as if he was being forced to smile against his will. It was the face of a man that was ready to die.
“I couldn’t agree with you more.” Stark spoke in a wheezing voice, each word sounding forced and unnatural.
For a moment, Erik believed that Stark had been responding to both what Richard had said, and his own thoughts. Reflecting on it later, Erik realized that he probably was.
Suddenly, Richard fell back against the wall, screaming. Turning towards his partner, Erik could see that Richard’s gun that had been pointing towards Stark seconds before was now lodged firmly under his own chin.
“Slow… T-time…” Were the only words that Richard could force out.
Erik closed his eyes, and concentrated as he had countless times before. But he felt something different. Some invisible force that blocked access to his power. It was some kind of wall.
“H-hurry… S-s-stop…”
Erik concentrated harder, squeezing his eyes shut, but the harder that he tried to get past the wall, the more a strange pain began to seep into his skull. Small pins of pain attacked the front of his brain, and then began to spread to his temples.
“D-DO IT… NOW!”
“Come on, Come on,” He muttered to himself as he bashed his mind against the wall, as the pain dug deeper into his skull, as Richard struggled in vain to escape the grip that Stark held over his mind.
“P-p-please…”
Erik’s fingers dug into the center of his palms as his hands turned into tight fists. Blood began trickle from his nose onto his lips. Again and again he bashed himself against the indestructible wall stopping his power, and each time the pain dug deeper into his brain, his mind… His soul.
Erik collapsed to the ground, and felt a huge wave of relief wash over him as he opened his eyes. For several seconds, the world before him was blurry, and a strange ringing in his ears prevented him from hearing anything. As his senses slowly began to return to him, Erik began to sit up groggily. Suddenly, the scene before him snapped into focus. Erik could hear Richard’s screams mixed with Stark’s dark laughter, and both were cut off by a gunshot that echoed through the night for several seconds.
As soon as Erik was standing up again, he was pinned against a wall by Adrian Stark. Erik could see Richard’s crumpled body in a corner over Stark’s right. Shoulder.
My God, he’s going to kill me too.
“No. I’m not going to kill you. You’ve been manipulated.”
For a moment, Erik wondered if he had spoken his thoughts aloud. The world was growing blurry again…
Stark shook him violently, waking Erik from his inner thoughts.
“Listen to me,” He began. This was a different man that the one he had seen only moments before. This face was urgent, and very much alive. These eyes seemed to peer into his very soul. “You’re on the wrong side.”
Erik used all of his strength to push the Stark away from him, and succeeded in releasing himself from the man’s grip. While his opponent was stunned, Erik threw a dozen punches, only some of them connecting, but they still were enough to bring Stark to his knees. Erik’s last blow forced the telepath to the ground, which was still covered in Richard’s blood.
“STOP!” Stark cried, and Erik found himself holding back the kick that he had aimed towards Stark’s limp form. His voice had taken on a supernatural tone, and Evan didn’t hear it with his ears, but instead in his mind. The command echoed through his head, and it seemed logical to obey it.
“Listen to me Erik,” Stark continued. “You don’t understand the ramifications of your actions.” Stark took Erik’s head in both of his hands.
Erik began to feel a strange sensation like a vibration in the depths of his skull where Stark was touching him. The vibration spread to each section of his mind until Erik’s mind seemed to throb against his skull. Suddenly images began to race past his eyes, blotting out the real world. The images came in a blur, but each one seemed to leave a mark, branding his brain with their impressions. This flow of images began as an incoherent flood, but now Erik seemed to recognize these as memories… But they were not his own. They were like the thought that had come to him when Stark had begun to laugh. These images and memories were alien to him, yet they were in his mind. And not only that, but he also seemed to understand everything about each one, even as they flashed before his eyes. Erik realized that these were Stark’s memories of the Company, and what atrocities they had committed.
What atrocities…
Images of people being separated from their families, forced from their homes, men, women, children being tested on, surgeries gone wrong, executions gone right, people being locked away from the outside world for crimes that they hadn’t committed yet, innocent people being killed, all of this because of something that no-one can control. All this evil from the Company that he had devoted his life to. A company that had lied to him time and time again. A Company that he was a part of.
Erik felt like his head might explode, but the images kept coming. And now they were accompanied by insuppressible emotions. Erik felt the sweat, the fear, the tears, the pain, and the blood of each victim in these memories, and they threatened to overwhelm him. They drowned him in a sea of mourning, loss, and d**nation. For the first time in his life, Erik felt that he truly was in Hell.
Just as it seemed that he would spend an eternity trapped inside his own mind, memories of a thousand souls haunting him forever, his vision returned, and he was back on the roof with Stark.
Both of them were shaking, and Stark looked as if he was exhausted, and his eyes were dead once more.
“Now… You know.” Stark choked as removed his hands.
They stood in silence for a moment, both breathing heavily.
Is… Is this all… Is this really…
Yes, Stark’s answer echoed in his mind.
“Listen to me. You have to take them down. They’ll be coming for me, your backup.”
Erik felt guilty as he was reminded of his affiliation with the company.
“You have to get out of here,” Stark continued. “You have to…”
Several rapid shots rang out in the night from the entrance to the roof, cutting off Adrian Stark’s last words, as he slumped to the ground. Four Company agents stepped from the shadows of the overhang, and began to examine the rooftop.
“What the hell happened here?” Exclaimed one of the agents as he bent down to Richard Davis’ corpse.
“It doesn’t matter now.” Another agent said as he approached Stark’s body. “The little f**ker’s dead as a doornail now.” Glancing up at Erik, “You’re d**n lucky that we arrived in time to save your sorry little-”
Erik grabbed the man by his shoulders and ripped him off his feet, driving him towards the ledge of the Devoux Building. Two of the other agents saw this, drew their weapons, and fired at him. Erik didn’t care. He was faster than the bullets.
In a blink of an eye, the two of them had toppled over the edge and were plummeting towards the city street below. Erik closed his eyes, concentrated, and air rushed in to fill the space that he had occupied only seconds before.
The Agent spent the last seconds of his life screaming.

St Peters Basilica
St Peters Basilica
Eric’s ears popped as he felt the ground beneath his feet once again. He rubbed them, mildly annoyed. He began to walk down the huge aisle that stretched before him. Every inch was meticulously decorated in silver, gold, and jewels from around the world. The dawn’s early rays of light had begun to seep through the stained glass windows, painting the enormous hall in vivid colors of every shade. The sweet scent of burning incense filled the deserted Cathedral, while Erik’s soft footsteps echoed through the aisles.
He knelt as he reached the altar, gazing up at the wondrous works of art around him, before closing his eyes, and beginning to pray.
He would pray for the people that he had hurt and killed during his seven years with the Company. He would pray for Adrian Stark, the man who gave him a chance to repent for his sins. But most of all, he would pray for the Company…
Because they were going to need all the prayers in the world if they ever hoped to withstand his vengeance…
