Caelin O’Neil bit down on her lower lip as she decided that she wasn’t going to go to school. She was a senior in college and could care less about it. She was furious with the school system because they were getting on her case. As if she was a different person. A person with a power. Sure she had a power. It was time-traveling or so she thought. She didn’t think that she could much harm to people with time-traveling. It was her little secret.
She just hoped that her parents didn’t find out that she was a freak. She still lived under their roof, but it was because she couldn’t afford any apartment at the moment in Texas. She wanted to get out of Texas. After she graduated from college, she was going to move. She didn’t know where, but away from the lovely state of Texas. Maybe go to New York. She always wanted to go New York, or even perhaps California. Caelin had only been to California once in her lifetime.
Caelin just wanted to be a part of something. Something big. She wanted to explore her ability or power. She just wanted to know if there was more to her power or not. Sure her cousin, Luke had an ability also, but she didn’t know if she could trust him or not. It felt as if she couldn’t trust anyone anymore, not even her parents. Nevertheless, she was acting normal or so she thought.
The twenty-one year old sighed as she got dressed and decided to go to work. She wasn’t going to class. Screw class. She was going to go to work and see if they needed any help. It was her day off, but she figured it would be something to do besides play hooky from college. If her parent’s even asked she was called into work and that is why she didn’t go to school. She hoped her parents were understand. They really didn’t care.
Caelin’s parents were too busy working with that dreaded company called The Company. She wondered what the hell the Company was about. It as if it was a secret organization doing something. Like it was hiding certain individuals from the public. Caelin walked down the stairs and grabbed her keys to her car and decided to head to work. However, before she decided to head to work she decided to explore Starbucks. She needed her caffeine for the day.
Once Caelin arrived at the local Starbucks she got out of her car and decided to go inside. It was best not to go through the drive-thru, she thought. She hated waiting in the car, for her caffeine. She didn’t know why, but it was a habit and she hated sitting still in a car at a drive thru. Caelin was quite an odd character. The senior in college entered the Coffee Shop and awaited in line, hoping the line would hurry up, so she could get her fix for the day.
