this is the story of several people who"thought they were like everyone else... until they realized they have incredible abilities."
these people soon realize they have a role in preventing a catastrophe and saving mankind.
however the life of a person with an extraordinary ability is not left without danger. many of the "heroes" have fallen victim to a mass murdering serial killer by the name of sylar and no one is any closer to catching this nemesis. alongside this, a time traveling japanese office-worker called hiro has seen the destruction of new york city in a vision and made it his misson to try and prevent the impending destruction. oh, and then there's the fate of a certain cheerleader hanging in the air...
